N90 vs SB50: what to verify

Updated · Editorial reference

The short answer

Compare N90 and SB50 machines only after identifying their manufacturers and configurations. The designations alone do not establish throughput, power, process stages or final rice quality.

Normalize the capacity basis

Ask whether capacity is paddy input, brown rice input or finished output. Require the feed condition and target quality alongside the figure. Convert units only after the measurement basis is equivalent.

Compare the supplied system

An offer may include a bare machine, motor, blower or additional processing stages. Record what is physically included before comparing either operating needs or cost.

Rice quality and maintenance

Request comparable sample runs and documented wear-part details. Neither designation proves higher head-rice recovery or easier service.

Installation questions

Confirm electrical supply, protection, mounting, ventilation and material handling using each supplier’s documents. Installation suitability cannot be inferred from a short model name.

How to make a decision

Fill the comparison sheet with verifiable documents. Leave missing fields unresolved and ask for evidence. When enough equivalent information exists, select the configuration that meets the actual process and service requirements.
